Scuppernong have reached new heights after 22 seasons, as one of the team's riders have reached the top of the world rankings.
Over the past 90 days Rolf Enoch has proved himself to be the best rider in the world after a 2nd place in the Molrelia - Mexico City race. Manager Joe has kept Enoch away from the press for his preparation for the final climbing classic of season-Criterium La Provence, which fellow rider Goodrich won 4 seasons ago.
Joe commented "This is probably the best acheivement by a Scuppernong rider and the whole team must also be praised. A few seasons ago there were rumours that Rolf could be the next Truman Woodson. But they were wrong, Rolf is better."
So far this season Enoch has acheived 11 results including one in the world tour. A result on Thursday in France may be too much for Enoch as he is tired after today but he may still be able to race once more before the end of the season.
Team scuppernong must hope that as Enoch becomes more experienced he can only improve and have more successful seasons like this one. He may not be number one at the end of the season but if it is only for a day he can still say "I was number 1"
